Mr W P R P H Fonseka – Director

Mr Fonseka was appointed to the Board of Property Development Limited (PDL) with effect from 12
February 2016 and serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee as well.

He held the position of General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Ceylon until 05 August 2025. Prior to his appointment as General Manager/Chief Executive Officer in January 2023, he served as the Additional General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of the Bank. He had been representing the Corporate Management of the Bank since 2012. With over 34 years of experience in both international and local arenas, he possesses extensive expertise in all aspects of commercial banking, with a specialization in financial management and strategic planning.

Mr Fonseka serves as a Director on Boards of BOC Property Development and Management (Pvt)
Limited and many subsidiaries / associates of Bank of Ceylon.

Mr Fonseka graduated from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka with a Bachelor of Science
(Special) Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s of Business Administration from the
University of Southern Queensland, Australia. Mr Fonseka is a Fellow Member of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, a Senior Fellow Member of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka
and a Member of the Alumni of the Harvard Business School of USA.
