Mr Wijesekara joined Property Development Limited in May 2007 as the Maintenance Manager of the Company. Currently, he holds the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Wijesekara holds a B.Sc. Engineering Degree specialized in Electrical Engineering (Power) from the University of Moratuwa, and an Executive Master of Business Administration Degree from Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He has been a Corporate Member (Chartered Engineer) of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka since 2003. He is a Certified Building Services Engineer for Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Installations by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka, and has successfully completed a number of Certificate Courses (CPD) conducted by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka. He is an accredited Energy Manager appointed by Sustainable Energy Authority of Sri Lanka. Mr Wijesekara counts over 26 years of experience in designing, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, maintenance and procuring of plant and machinery, services etc., for High-rise Buildings.

He had worked as Manager, Electrical and Building Management System (BMS) at Hatton National Bank (HNB) and also as Electrical Engineer at Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB).
